Signal strength you currently get without an external antenna?
Quite often, the signal inside your building is significantly reduced by absorption and reflection by the building materials. Stone or brick walls, metal or foil covered cladding create havoc with cell phone signals.
Knowing the outdoor SIGNAL LEVEL currently indicated on your modem assists our research.
Preferably, your antenna will be mounted above the roof-line of the building. Knowing the level of SIGNAL LEVEL you get when outside, preferably up on the roof, will assist with our research.
